    About “Ashlyn Chase

    • Ashlyn Chase

Ashlyn Chase has been a registered nurse for 20 years During those years, she wrote articles for professional journals and a thesis, but eventually, thank goodness, discovered the joy and freedom of writing fiction.Ashlyn considers herself lucky Her degree in behavioral sciences is a combination of psychology and sociology, so she has worked with and studied people most of her life She never has to write out exhaustive character sketches to understand her characters or predict how they will behave That doesn t mean they don t surprise her Sometimes they take her on grand unexpected journeys For her, it gives character driven novels a whole new meaning.Ashlyn has learned to go with the flow To enjoy the journey is not only one of her writing goals, but also a challenge in life so she tries to follow where the story takes her As such, she has lived in 17 different places over the years At last, she s all settled down and comfy in New England Is there a grand design or do we decide our own fates Perhaps if the powers that be have a plot, then they also give us the right to revise it Ashlyn has certainly made detours on her path, but she thinks she s better for it She s having fun at any rate and hopes that if she enjoys the journey, so will those around her including her readers.

    • This has to be one of my favourite vampire books of all time. Adrian, the hero, is just so gorgeous and Maura, the heroine, is so touching and funny. Ashlyn Chase has a knack of creating vulnerability and emotion in her very sexy characters and erotic scenes, and the comedy has me laughing out loud. If you need a sexy smile in your day, read this!

    • I JUST FINISHED READING *VAMPIRE VINTAGE.* BY ASHLYN CHASE. I LAUGHED, AT THE HERO’S CRAZY FAMILY AND WAS SURPRISED AT HOW UNIQUELY SHE GOT RID OF THE VILLAIN. THIS STORY IS FULL TWISTS AND TURNS THAT GRIP YOU FROM PAGE ONE TO THE END. THE PACING, DIALOGUE AND NARRATIVE WAS GREAT. AND I DISAGREE WITH THE ROMANTIC TIMES REVIEW, I DON’T THINK THE ENDING WAS A BIT CONTRIVED. IT WAS A PERFECT ROMANTIC ENDING. MY ONLY KIND. I’VE READ MANY DESCRIPTIONS ON HOW AUTHOR’S DESCRIBE THE BREAST, BUT [...]

    • Comically bad. Almost worth reading just to laugh at how poorly it's written. I think I made it through 20% of the book. This read like fan fiction written by a teenage girl, interspersed by sex scenes ghost written by someone who'd actually had sex. Also, is no one else bothered by the casual approach to tax evasion? Or the "hero" spying from the heroine's fire escape and using mind control to make her strip in front of him? Yikes!

    • The first half of the book was just ok for me and although it is a unique storyline I was expecting more pizazz. Things just happened too easily when I almost wanted to make both Maura and Adrian to have to work harder to get what they wanted. Based on the summary, I also thought that Maura’s journey would take up most of the book but everything in the summary happened by about the half way mark.I ended up taking a break from this book at 57% (thank you Kindle app for that precise percentage). [...]

    • Ms Chase seems to have a penchant for full-figured busty heroines, and the protagonist of Vampire Vintage is no exception. The opening of the book is a total attention grabber: a bunch of drunken middle-aged ladies romping naked in Central Park to help Maura, the heroine, summon the vampire lover she dreams of.After the starry skyclad ritual, Maura sets off on a package tour of vampire country in Romania, partly to stock up on vampire/goth clothing for her boutique, partly in the hope of meeting [...]

    • I loved Ashlyn Chase's more tame romance books. This more erotic novel was interesting, but not as well written as some of the others. Still, I enjoyed the book and read to the end. It did seem to end with a bit of a stretch.

    • This book was ok for me and was recommended by friends who enjoyed the Sookie Stackhouse series. Vampire Vintage is entertaining and has a humorous blend of supernatural with erotica. This book is not one of my favourites but it was a nice light read before delving into another Ellen Hopkins novel.
