    • I would like to thank Fire Quill Publishing & Adrienne Woods for my copy of the ARC in exchange for an honest review. My actual rating is 2.5 stars, this book has so much potential yet it lacked in so many areas. Such a shame as it really has some awesome parts to it which had me interested but as a whole it flopped. The story follows Chasity a teenager who is thrust into the world of dream & shadow casters who are in a deep war with each other. The idea is excellent, the whole dream Vs ni [...]

    • I was given an uncorrected e-copy for review. My copy contained spelling errors, which hopefully were fixed in the published versions. Before I start I would like to take a moment to say how lovely the cover art is. It is absolutely gorgeous. The story opens up with a couple who's destines were not to be together. He a light dream caster and she a dark. The dream casters are not like the Sandman we learn about as children, yes they can can conjure up dreams and things out of sand, light is golden [...]

    • Another Grand Slam by Woods!I swear, Adrienne Woods has a gift people. She had made yet another brilliant start to a new series packed with everything we've come to love and expect from her. I absolutely loved this idea and how well Woods executed this with her phenomenal writing. I definitely compared this book to her first book "Firebolt" and I got to witness how much this author as grown as a writer. This book is definitely more concise and the ideas flow beautifully and the world building is [...]

    • I receieved an uncorrected, free digital copy of this book from NetGally for an honest review. Had it not been for that, I would probably never have finished this book. I wanted to read this book because I really liked the idea of it; a secret world with people who create dreams (dream casters), and nightmares (shadow casters), and the war between them. A typical struggle between good and evil, but in a new wrapping. Here's why it just didn't work out for me:First of all, the cover is really bea [...]

    • Another wonderful book!!! I loved it!!! I was racing through reading the story to see what happened next!!! Before I started to read Light, I wasn't sure a book about a dream world could keep my interest and be somewhat believable. But Adrienne Woods has once again blown me away with her imagination and story telling. I don't want to give too much away of the story but the book revolves around Chastity Blake (love this last name!!!). Chastity finds out the hard way that she is a dream caster. Sh [...]

    • This book is a good start to this series. I like that it was different and refreshing form the typical "vampires, werewolves, zombies, and fairies" to name a few. Although I had a hard time getting a jump start on this book. I found myself slowly progressing through it in the beginning. For my it was not until about the third of the way into the book when the story really started and picked up in other words when Chastity was kidnapped. The world that the author built was cool. I liked learning [...]

    • I love the work of Adrienne Woods, she won me over with her "The Dragonian" series. I was so happy when I received this copy. Adrienne is so talented and she has a unique writing style, you just couldn't like her books. This book was so AMAZING, the main character is so strong and loving. I couldn't stop when I started reading this book, it was just captivating. I finished it in one day because the story just held me, I couldn't let the book down how much I loved it.Oohh and the COVER It's so bea [...]

    • 3.5/5 stars(I received this digital copy in return for an honest review. Many thanks to the author Adrienne Woods, Fire Quill publishing and Netgalley).First of all, I'll say this. The cover is stunning to the eye. It draws your attention straight away and makes you really look to see what the girl is holding in her hands. I am slightly confused as to whether or not the girl on the cover is supposed to be Chastity or not seeing as Chastity has shoulder length raven black hair and not blond. But [...]

    • I thought that this book had an interesting unique concept that it followed and realistic characters. The voice of the protagonist was realistic to follow. The story was gripping from the beginning which engaged me to read on and, the ending made me want to read the next book in the series. However, aside from a minor few mistakes, I thought that this book was a bit overwhelming with characters. I felt that characters were being introduced to the story in large groups. Because of this, it was ha [...]

    • Review: I received this book from NetGalley for reviewI read this book, but I honestly can't tell you what happened in this book. From start to finish everything felt disjointed and really repetitive. There were run-on sentences and very bland characters. I felt like I was proof-reading this book more than reading it for enjoyment. This is the first book I have read by this author, and I don't think I'll be reading anything else by her. This book was just not really for me.

    • You can also find this review on my blog: Wings of NephilimFavorite Quote:"Think about the children, about everyone you care about.""I am."I received an ARC of: Light (Dream Casters #1) via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. If this wasn't a Netgalley ARC I honestly would have DNF'd this book after the first 20% or so. I struggled, not wanting to read more, to read something I liked instead and it just got worse and worse and worse. I put my kindle down more times than I can count. I wou [...]

    • Not as interesting as the Dragonian series. I fell asleep twice while reading this and that is saying something. The flow of the story was disjointed, I had a hard time keeping up with what. Characters were okay but there was no development or progression.

    • Fire Quill Publishers and NetGalley provided me with an electronic copy of Dream Casters: Light. I was under no obligation to review this book and my opinion is freely given.Graig Chen and his pregnant fiance must flee from their home world, in order to secure a normal life for their child. Graig is a light caster, but Vinicola is a shadow one, so their respective communities would never allow their union. The only option is to live in reality like humans, but only one of them makes the trip.16 [...]

    • The book seriously needs more editing. If I see the word "giggled" one more timeI mean Seriously! You should always avoid repetition and certainly nobody giggles every time they say something. The characters were a bit meh and the story was missing its flow but I guess the plot had me intrigued enough to finish the book.***Oh! And who is the girl from the cover supposed to be? Since the main character is described as an asain-looking girl (even though mixed) why put her on the cover in the first [...]

    • Great story lineMy only complains is that I get distracted by grammatical errors. Besides that, I truly enjoyed the new twist on the Sand man stories we've all heard. I'll be reading the next book in the series, and I hope it has been better edited.

    • CreativeI love all of Adrienne Woods' books! I have read ALL of the Dragonian Series and I loved them! She is just an amazing author!

    • Actual rating 2.5 starsI didn’t know what else to do, so I let out a screamWhen I read this line, I think it perfectly encapsulated my feelings about Dream Casters: Light. I absolutely LOVE the idea behind this story. The concept of a war being fought between the people who have power over dreams and nightmares is really interesting. The use of sand is really cool and I loved its development throughout – using it as weapons was a really ingenious touch.However. Yes, there is a however (the a [...]

    • (Review originally posted on The Treasured Bookshelf)This book had so much potential. I was really excited to enter the world of dreams and experience the possibilities of everything that has to offer. I was a little disappointed. Even when learning this was more of the story of the fight between Light Casters and Shadow Casters, I was still excited. But I admit, I had a hard time following parts of this story. It was like Woods had this whole world in her mind, but we were just supposed to know [...]

    • ARC provided by the publisher Fire Quill Publishing via NetGalley for an honest review.I'm very happy to be given the chance to read and review this book for a simple reason: it’s quite different from the books we are used to read these days. The whole concept of “dream world” is new, refreshing and opens the door to endless possibilities. It gives the author a chance to include some new characters and creatures into the story and step away from the fantastic beings we are used to, such as [...]

    • I was fortunate to be one of the selected few to proofread Dream Casters: Light. Now I will be the first to post a review, yay me!!!Just a heads up, this story is completely unlike Adrienne's Dragonian Series. So try to keep an opened mind. The flow of this story is different, but overall it's just a different concept. Going from dragons to "the modern day Sandman". Which I did find refreshing and interesting. The book is about Chastity Blake and her journey after discovering what she is, and who [...]

    • I'm going to start right off the bat and say that I loved the first book in Adrienne Woods' Dream Caster series, Light. You know those stories of the Sandman and how he sprinkles his magic sand in your eyes to make you fall asleep and dream? Well imagine if that was real, but instead of one Sandman, there's a world of Dream Casters who can use their sand for a lot more than dreams. That's the world that Woods introduces us to in Light. The main character is Chastity Blake, who goes by Chas. Chas [...]

    • The author Adrienne Woods hits another home run with her new young adult Dream Casters Series where she creates a world of dreams. This series takes you into the world of Light Casters (known as the good) and Shadow Casters (those that are evil and create nightmares). She describes in rich detail the world that exists in Domain (humans live here), Revera the world of dreams where the Light Casters live and Oblivion where Shadow Casters live and create horrible unspeakable havoc after they were c [...]

    • Adrienne Woods has put together an incredible new world in Dreamcasters: Light. The Land of Revera is where the Light Casters live. These are the beings that control all of the good and the light in your dreams. Oblivion was created when a Light Caster was expelled for going bad. This world is dark and full of nightmares. Of course there are good and evil forces that give you your dreams. Didn’t you know??? And what can possibly go wrong when 2 star-crossed lovers from opposite teams come toge [...]

    • This was the first book I have read by Adrienne Woods and I was absolutely HOOKED! She created a dream world where fairy tales literally come to life. I did not know what to expect from this book. I was initially drawn in by the beautiful cover but once I opened it I could not stop reading! Chasity Blake is a teenage girl living in the Domain and she does not know she is a dream caster until one day she discovers her sand. Her life is changed forever and she is whisked away to the world of Rever [...]

    • I received a free copy of this book on NetGalley, from the publisher and author in exchange for my honest review.Oh boy, where do I even begin with this book?! To start, I am so extremely glad that I requested to read this book. I'm still processing everything that happened and the cliff hanger at the end! This book was a nice change from the whole vampires and werewolf books that everyone seems to come out with (don't get me wrong I love those books just as much!). But this really changed the w [...]

    • While this book definitely had elements that kept me reading and enjoying it I did find it to drag on a bit/ wasn't clear at some points where I had to re read but still didn't understand what was going on or what something meant. It felt like I kept waiting for the story to happen and I knew it would be a good story once it got there because it was a really cool idea but it never got to that level for me. World BuildingThe world building was okay I think it would have been better if I understoo [...]

    • I really like this story! I could not put it down once I begin reading! I love the story of Chas parents, and I love her story too. The story begins with Chastity finding out she is a type of sand man who can create dreams or nightmares. Her mother confesses that she is a shadow caster who fell in love with a light caster which is killed when they are escaping Revera the world were the casters live. Chastity is born from this love and thus is set on a course of destruction since she is half and [...]

    • I received a free digital copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. This book has an intriguing fabrication of magic, fantasy, romance and adventure. Although the world building is good and interesting, there are still some flaws on how some chapters tend to be monotonous. The stream of the story did not quite keep me as engaged as I hoped it would. I personally struggled in remembering the names and "terms" in this book. It was actually a lot to take in if you ask me. I [...]

    • I was supposed to review this Young Adult Fantasy by Adrienne Woods months ago, so I wanted to give my apologies! Life got in the way. I want to start out by addressing the cover, it’s perfect! The colors, the fantasy aspect, it’s one of the best covers I’ve seen in a while. The book starts out with a little too much world building for my taste. I understand that we need to catch the reader up, but I just felt like it was too much at once, and maybe it could have been weaved into the story [...]
