    • Such a fun story to read to your kids before that dreaded first haircut. The illustrations are just darling! Great job!

    • No Way to Haircut Day is a picturebook written by Flo Barnett and illustrated by Derek Bacon. As of now the book is only available in e-book format. The book is, as you mty have guessed, about a young boy that does not want to get his hair cut. He does everything possible to avoid the inevitable, arguing, screaming, crying, moving in the chair, and so on, but his parents step in and the deed is done. No Way to Haircut Day! is the first book in Flo Barnett's "Grammy's Gang" series. No Way to Hairc [...]

    • "No Way to Haircut Day!" by Flo Barnett, and illustrated by Derek Bacon, is a story about a young boy basically throwing a tantrum about the prospect of getting another haircut. (I can remember doing the same thing!) He doesn't believe he needs his hair cut, so he hollers and shouts and kicks and glares and squirms, until finally his parents both hold him still so the barber can do his job. After all his theatrics fail, and the job is done, he is pleasantly surprised when he looks in the mirror [...]

    • As you can guess this is a kids book about a kid not wanting to get a haircut. Have your kids acted out during a haircut, especially a first haircut? Well if so this is the book for them! I have had relatively good luck with my kids, they weren't really scared or defiant, but my son does get grumpy because he doesn't like the way we have his hair cut. My daughter was great the first time considering she didn't get a haircut until she was about 3 years old. She just doesn't want to get her long ( [...]

    • I purchased a e-copy for my 5 year old son while it was free. No Way to Haircut Day is the first book in the Grammy Gang Series. The book is about a young boy that is very upset about getting his hair cut. Even though he does all he can to avoid it, mom and dad step in and helps him get the hair cut. The book has a few hidden messages for children. It has a good rhythmic flow and great illustrations. My son enjoyed the book. He has never been one to mind getting his hair cut, but we have witness [...]

    • I have to say the title is just too cute for the book. Me and K did like how the boy did not want to get his haircut and fought it while even there. What I didn't agree with was holding the young boy down just to get a haircut. But that is just me maybe because when my son was 2 and got his first haircut he kicked and screamed but I didn't hold him down. Our barber was very patient and talked with him until he calmed down enough to not freak out. I did enjoy how at the end he liked his haircut a [...]

    • The print on my kindle was so small I had to strain my eyes to read it. I could not expandthe writing bigger. This story would be a goodbook for an early reader to read. The story isdirected toward early elementary age but would be good for pre-school age as well. This is a good rhyming book but the illustrationsleave a lot to be desired. Since the illustrationsare important as a picture book, I give it threestars rating.

    • Before I begin the ONLY reason I am not giving this 5 stars is because of the format of the book. The words were too small to read and the pictures could have been a bit bigger. This was so cute I wish that I could get my two year old nephew (whose hair grows long fast and he hates getting a haircut). I think it would be cute for all kids to read and it shows that if you do things you hate you may end up enjoying the outcome.

    • 10*s. This is a magnificently written and well illustrated story and a lot of fun to read. I enjoyed every minute of it. Its a MUST story that children will love hearing over and over and parents will enjoy reading and sharing with their children.

    • This book is so cleverly cute. I love the way this story is portrayed and how it makes the kids see. What a great book!!!! If you have a child who's afraid of hair cuts this might help to have them read this book or read it to them.

    • Great story that is realistic about a little boy who does not want to get his hair cut and does everything he can to get out of it. Great pictures.

    • I gave this book 4 stars - because we suffer with the same problem - a son who can't stand his haircut. He really liked this book. Otherwise it would have been a 3 star.
