Stolmeier/Helland’s other book “The Hellandback Kids” better but this story was really good as well! The book was eerie and kept you turning the pages to find out exactly what was going on in the Asylum on Redwine Hill. The story is about a mysterious illness that causes all teenager [...]

    • This book was a bit of a disappointment. The story had so much promise, but the writing itself needed work. I assume this book is self-published, and, if that's the case, then I would recommend getting a beta-reader for the next one. Someone with a critical eye could have suggested many ways in which the story, the writing, the pacing, and the plot progression could have been improved.

    • I received this book for free through First Reads Giveaway. This is a story about Charlotte, who is sent to an asylum when she turns sixteen because, that is where all the sixteen year old kids go who are now "crazy". No one knows why all sixteen year old kids go crazy on their birthday, but soon Charlotte wants to find out. She is joined by friends to help solve the mystery of the sudden insanity, missing patients, ghosts that haunt the halls and the mystery meat that is served in the cafeteria [...]

    • Hi members. I appreciate the reviews for Redwine Hill and The Hellandback Kids. I enjoy writing but I'm hanging up my author shoes and I'm going on to another endeavor. I ask for prayers for my niece who lives at the Playboy Mansion. She's known for awhile she has the BRAC2 gene for breast cancer. There's a 85-90% chance she'll get breast cancer. So I think when she went to live with Hugh Hefner it was her way of coping with her future, and having one last memory of her old body. She's getting [...]

This book is about a world where most kids when they turn 16 go crazy and get put in insane asylums. Some friends in one if the asylums try and figure out why kids go crazy when they turn 16. They start investigsting and eventally figure out what has happened to all the kids when they turn 16.

    • *I received this for free from First Reads*The idea behind this book was good but the story was predictable for me. I knew what was going to happen waaay before it happened and that I did not like. I couldnt connect with the characters seeing as how I found them over rated and tacky. There was one turn of events at the end that I enjoyed and didnt expect. This book is definitely for a younger audience.
